Tim S. Weiffenbach is a certified Communication Designer specialising in illustration and graphic recording.
He is a founding member of the 'Association of Illustrators Germany’. He headed this organisation from 2004 - 2014 and brought the regional group in Frankfurt into being. Tim Weiffenbach is a mentor in the mentoring program and a member of the association's think tanks. Additionaly he is an honorary member of the Society of illustrators New York (USA) and the Association of Illustrators Germany.
From 2008 - 2012 he was a lecturer in the department of illustration at the Academy of Visual Arts in Frankfurt am Main. In 2009 he took on a teaching assignment for illustration at the Bauhaus-University Weimar. In 2023, Tim Weiffenbach was appointed professor of illustration and animation in the business, design and technology department at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt.
He has won international awards, for example 3x3 Magazine for Illustration (USA - Merit Award), Creative Quarterly (USA - Winner & RunnerUp), Joseph-Binder-Award (AUT - Gold & Bronze) and the Association of Illustrators Germany (DEU- Gold).
In 2005 he was a member of the jury in the ‘Anthology of Illustration Freestyle 2 - best of commercial illustration'. He has been a standing member of the editorial team at freistil-online.de since 2009, the german online platform for illustration. 2012 he was invited by designaustria to be a jury member for the renowned Joseph Binder Awards (AUT). In 2013 Tim Weiffenbach was head of jury duty at the third ‘Rüsselsheimer Illustration Prize’ as part of the event series illust_ratio (DEU), as well as at the internationally advertised competition Tschuttiheftli (CHE). In 2015 he headed the jury by invitation of the ‘Association of Illustrators’ (GBR)  for the World Illustration Awards in the area ‘Research and knowledge communication’. In 2017 he was a member of the jury in the Hiiibrand International Illustration Competition (CHN).

Tim S. Weiffenbach ist diplomierter Kommunikationsdesigner mit den Arbeitsschwerpunkten Illustration und Graphic Recording. 
Er ist Gründungsmitglied und war von 2004 bis 2014 Vorsitzender der Illustratoren Organisation e.V. und ist Initiator der Regionalgruppe Frankfurt. Auf ehrenamtlicher Basis ist er Mentor im Mentorenprogramm und Mitglied in Think Tanks des Verbandes. Zudem ist er Ehrenmitglied der Society of Illustrators New York (USA) und der Illustratoren Organisation e.V. 
Von 2008 bis 2012 war er Dozent im Fachbereich Illustration an der Academy of Visual Arts in Frankfurt am Main. 2009 übernahm er einen Lehrauftrag für Illustration an der Bauhaus-Universität WeimarIn 2023 übernahm Tim Weiffenbach eine Professur für Illustration und Animation im Fachbereich Business, Design und Technologie an der Macromedia Hochschule Frankfurt.

2005 war er Jurymitglied bei der Illustrations-Anthologie Freistil 2 - Best of commercial Illustration und war festes Redaktionsmitglied bei freistil-online.de, dem deutschen Online-Portal für Illustration. 2012 war er auf Einladung von designaustria Jurymitglied des renommierten Joseph Binder Awards (AUT). 2013 übernahm Tim Weiffenbach Jurytätigkeiten beim 3. „Rüsselsheimer Illustrationspreis“, im Rahmen der Veranstaltungen der illust_ratio-Reihe sowie beim international ausgeschriebenen Wettbewerb des Tschuttiheftli (CHE). 2015 übernahm er auf Einladung der „Association of Illustrators“ (GBR) die Jurytätigkeit im Bereich „Research and Knowledge Communication“ des World Illustration Awards. In 2017 war er Jurymitglied des internationalen Illustrationswettbewerbs von Hiiibrand (CHN)
